Trey Fix-Wolansky had two assists and scored a goal in the shootout, and Yegor Chinakhov scored a goal in regulation and another in the shootout to give the Monsters a 3-2 win over host Grand Rapids on March 11.

Cleveland has won two in a row, both over the Griffins, to improve to 25-25-4-2.

Chinakhov scored his third goal of the season on a power play with 3:45 remaining in the second period to tie the game at 1-1. After Grand Rapids took a 2-1, lead Jake Christiansen found the back of the net for the Monsters to tie the game.

Jet Greaves turned away 36 of the 38 shots he faced, plus both Griffins’ attempts in the shootout.

The Monster have the last of three in a row against Grand Rapids on March 16 at home.
