Host Rochester scored the first three goals of the game on the way to a 5-2 victory over the Monsters on March 26.

Cleveland’s three-game was snapped, and the Monsters fell to 28-27-5-2.

Trailing, 3-0, in the second period, Joon Luoto got the Monsters on the scoreboard with his 14th goal of the season.

Corson Ceulemans made it a 3-2 game with his first professional goal, 4 minutes, 35 seconds into the third period. Ceulemans is the Blue Jackets’ 2021 first-round pick, and he recently finished his college career at Wisconsin. His goal was assisted by brothers Cole and Owen Sillinger.

Rochester went back ahead by two goals with 8:05 left in the third, and later added an empty-net goal for the final margin.

Daniil Tarasov played the first 25 minutes in goal for Cleveland and saved 16 of 18 shots faced. Jet Greaves, who shut out Toronto on March 25, played the rest of the way and saved nine of 11 shots.

The Monsters’ next game is also at Rochester, on March 29.
